Join us around the fire...
Wild Tribes is inviting you to meet with other like-hearted women on the northern beaches for an afternoon full of warm community vibes, weaving and wine!
Through the ages, weaving has held a profound sigfnicance for fostering connections among women. With women coming together to share stories, skills and support. Through this collective crafting, a network of shared experiences is woven, bonding women not just to their artistic creations but to each other and the natural world around them.
We use natural Australian fibres for our weavinng workshops and will be teaching you how to weave a coil basket. You will also have the opportunity to strengthen bonds with other women in your community and are invited to deepen your relationship with yourself and the natural world, through this process.
If weaving is a skill you already have and you simply wish to come along and enjoy the hum of the community vibe whilst weaving your own creation - you are more than welcome to join too!
Weaving materials, know-how, a yummy cheese board and some wine will be supplied but please feel free to contribute by bringing anything else along that you would personally like to nibble on or share :)
Weather permitting, some of our workshops that are more focused on identifying, harvesting and processing weaving fibres - equipping you to weave from anywhere with anyone! The dates pencilled in for our fibre foraging are 9th January, 2nd June & 3rd November.
*children welcome however children 12yrs+ will need to make a donation to attend. It is also expected that you will be available to supervise your own children at all times.
